Polished the lugs today. Also cleaned the shells. Wow. These things are amazingly pure. I found only ten lugs that had ANY sort of mark on them. They had a tiny little pit or a scrape. That's it. All the other lugs are seriously unmarked. There's no tiny scratch or anything. Unbelievable. The shells cleaned up nicely and took a good wax. The edges are unmarked. Whoever had this kit before me cherished it. The stands and such get cleaned tonight and tomorrow morning. It came with all the correct hardware - cymbal stand, bass cymbal arm, tom mount, snare stand, hi-hat stand, foot pedal. Unreal. All of it is in very fine condition.

The snare has 8 lugs. That's cool. My Pioneer has only 6 and my SuperClassic has 8. I guess that's a good thing where Ludwig is concerned.

Is this kit rare? I hear people talk about Standards and such, but I've never really seen a bunch of 'em around. What's the skinny on that?
