once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.
That is a cool little kit - I wonder where it is today.
He was the same age as me (four months older) - big part of my drumming life. My but 32 years have flown by!

What a cool photo - from the tiny little drumkit to his cozy sweater and the drying laundry. John Bonham was a man of class and a genius of drumming. I've listened to whole Houses of the Holy today... what a band they were and what a thundering beat he had!

When Zep was recording "In Through...." at ABBA's studio in Sweden, there were some potted palm trees by the drums. The palms had died at the end of the recording session!
For some reason, I had this sudden urge to listen to some Zep this AM. How strange that he died on this date.If you haven't heard any of The Lost Sessions Vol. I - IV, do it. They are easily available. Hint Hint ;) ;)There are some really great tracks and a lot of John's signature mubling over the raw and powerful drum recordings.RIP Bonzo.- Tim
Whoa, I just looked it up and I'm listening to Bron Yr Aur Stomp from that and it is blowing my mind.
