From eamesuser

Nice looking drums,I have never seen any that old.I do remember reading a review in English about a kit,mid late 90's.I remember them being distinctive looking, and as I remember this lit was made from Ash,which was very unusual at the time, about 10 years ahead of anyone else.I saw on the site he makes drums for Swiss Basel drumming,I remember reading an article about that in MD.The thing that throws me is the Italian sounding name, but the countries are right next to each other. Thanks for posting.

The four national languages of Switzerland are German, French, Italian, and Romansh.

And since these drums are Swiss engineered, they probably keep time just fine all by themselves.Sorry, I couldn't resist. Seriously, thanks for posting these images and for the information. This is yet another manufacturer that I was, until now, completely unaware. Beautiful drums indeed.

I understand that.. And don't forget the cows and the chocolat.. But this drums where really something else!

This is my early 60s Giannini Bobuschka Set in wmp, during a recording session last month. Hope you like it

Hello.....

I play a very nice Giannini by Framus Babushka Set from 1959

with original Hardware, Skins and Cymbals......

I had to change Skins, they were totally stiff...they were with the

original first Remo Badge........use now Ewans Clear Q1

The sound is very dry, caused by non existing bearing edges....

but it makes big fun to play Jazz/Swing with it.

The today Giannini in Switzerland has only bought the famous name,

when I ask for original parts, there wasn´t even a answer......

Look at the photo....green sparkel

According to the catalogue it´s the Modell 5 in 22" , 16" , 13", 14"SD

.....for questions, don´t be shy to email me

Thank you all

Quincy
