I know Buddy Rich's drums are documented pretty well by various sites and or course TommyP on here!

The most information I could find is here... https://www.maxwelldrums.com/gene-krupa-radio-king-snare-drum-p-1077.html

It would appear that Gene held onto his drums for a long time, so possibly didn't go through as many brands/models as Buddy!

Indeed Mark!, and if I may add ... Gene also STAYED with Slingerland and never went with another company! Buddy of course, well ... the endorsements abound! Course that's what made researching and collecting all his snare drums so fascinating. Gene pretty much stayed the course with Slingerland for his entire career!

Frank Ippolitio had a Gene Krupa snare back in the 70's at Professional Percussion Center in NYC. I was there buying a new set of Slingerlands and he took it down from the shelf to show me. He joked and asked if I wanted to buy it. I wish!! Can't remember much other than it was WMP. This was 1974 so Gene had just passed a year earlier in late 73.

Glenn.

Not a guru just havin fun with some old dusty drums.

Both were better than I will ever be. Think Gene had a bit more class. Buddy flash.
