Question?? how do you think chrome hardware would hold up in a garage with no heat for a period of about two to three years!! Do you think it would rust tarnish or both?? What could I put it in I have so much of it!! What about building wood storage boxes on wheels!! It is a dilemna that I may be facing in the months!! Chicago Winters Suck!! Hope that helps

A good coat of car wax. Keep the hardware off the floor and away from any moisture...in a cabinet or at least in plastic trash bags on a shelf. I would think that should do it.

A few years back i picked up some toms and a bass drum for my sonor signature kit in new hampshire . the lugs and chrome were covered in some type a vaseline? and the drums had moister pack's in them . and the drums were just in cases i ask him why he did this and he told me he had them stored for a few years in his un heated garage . when i finally got them home and clean them up the chrome was like new and no issues with the shells . probally not the best way to store hi end drums but that time it worked .
