Gambles Bop kit?

Good luck. If they turn out to be 12/13/16/20, are you committed to buying them or can you get a full refund because the guy didn't measure correctly/gave you incorrect info?

If the floor is not a 14, or the bass not an 18, I will likely ask and get my money back. I need something more than the cool wrap to pull me back over to StencilLand. Yes I've got 18 and 14 in writing, but I understand if it's not. The complete kit, even if not 14 or 18, is worth having. It's just that my stable is full, unless I can't pass it up.

It does tend to look like a 20,12, 13, 16 set-up. Depending on what you paid, it is likely to be a good deal either way and not hard to make a couple of bucks on if given the right exposure to the MIJ collecting community. Looks very complete down to pedal, 'L' arm and muffler. I'm going to guess it's not going back either way, but their mistaken measurements should give you some bargaining room to get the price down even more. Seems to be a nice score.

Well, most of you were correct, it was 20 16 13 12. I passed and got my money back. Drums were very nice, just not a have-to-have for me, and I've already got plenty to sell. Three original drum keys in their pouches. Hoops and inlays very nice. The FT seam wrap was just a little loose. The snare throw did not seem to actuate the snares, perhaps needs an adjustment.

If you want them, you should call Music Go Round Gahanna Ohio ASAP. Just NW of Columbus. They were marked @ $99. Yes, I should have just picked them up. Yes, my wife appreciated that I didn't.

So this kit came back up on the MGR website yesterday; now it's gone again.

Fess up - who snagged it (again)? It's got to be one of us.

It wasn't me...............someone got a really good deal!

I ALMOST called yesterday and got it. I am about 100 miles from the store. The only reason I hesitated was because I already have a Tiger Eye or "Root Beer" pearl kit in the same exact configuration (12/13/16/20). If the Gambles kit had the matching snare, I would've done it, because mine is missing the snare and have been on the hunt for one. Also, just like you John, if the floor tom was a 14" i would've done it too. As much as I love collecting MIJ kits, and as good as that deal was, I couldn't really justify even the modest sum of $99 to have another kit in the same exact finish with the same exact sizes.
