N00b here...just wanted to post the Slingerland kit I have had for some time now. I bought the original 5pc--24,13,14,16,5x14--in the mid 90's and recently began hoarding off Ebay. Recently recovered everything and this is what it looks like now...2-24's,12,13,14,15,16, 5x14,6.5x14,10 &12 timbales, and various bells and whistles. Great old maple sound. Hope you like them.
Full Slingerland kit...

Great set, but it appears now you need a few more cymbals to match the load of drums. ;)
Dude!! Does your kit have its own zip code? It looks awesome; great picking off of the ebay. Amazing that you can find matching gear for your 5-p. I wish I could have more luck finding early 70's pieces for my Gretsch kit. Keep on, keepin' on!!
BEAUTIFUL! Looks like it would be fun to play
1980's Gretsch Red Rosewood
2000's Gretsch Catalina Birch
Zildjian/Paiste - Remo - Pro Mark/Vic Firth
You should add some support beams to the deck - It's going to crumble under the weight of that monster!!
Welcome!
Also: gorgeous kit! It's not often that you see a drum set with so many pieces that still manages to look classy. Yours does.
What's the wrap you used for the recovering?
I'd love to see a frontal photo if you've got one.
1950s Gretsch Name Band in Midnight Blue Pearl (13/16/22/14sn)
1965/66 Ludwig Club Dates rewrapped in Black Diamond Pearl (12/15/20)
That is one nice big set of Slingerland! I'm used to seeing mostly 4pc kits - this is really something different for me.
Looks like lotsa fun - Great stuff!
Nice to look at too........
