RARE finish 1982 Rogers XP8 drumset.

These standard 12-13-16-22 drum set are the 8 ply maple Keller shells used by Rogers. Natural maple wood veneer - not a plastic wrap used on other Rogers drums. They have a new lacquer clear coat after an extensive restoration process. They are as good as the day they left the Rogers factory.

The restoration started with the removal of flashy contact paper put on them by someone (see picture). A previous attempt to remove the contact paper resulted in the removal of some of there original lacquer. After conditioning the wood veneer, I had them professionally finished with 2 coats of leveling compound and 4 coats of clear satin finish lacquer.

Chrome parts were cleaned and polished. Some small pitting from normal wear and tear, but it is in excellent condition over all. New Remo Ambassador coated top heads and Ambassador clean bottom heads. Original Rogers front BD head.
