FS: My 1920's Leedy Black Elite...

Loading...

I've come to reallize that as much as I love this drum... and it is an absolute beauty... I'm just not much of a collector. I build my own custom exotic drums (I'm the only one in the world that builds them from Magnesium Alloy for instance) and while I appreciate the craftsmanship of this one as well as others that have passed through my collection, it might be time to let it go.

I have posted other photos.. but here are just a few. Any serious buyers can request any photos and I'd be happy to provide high resolution shots.

Every nut and bolt is original... the top head is original and I have a calfskin for the bottom. Currently I have modern snare wires on the drum but I have the original silk (I think) wires for it safely stored away and they can be put back on the drum or just shipped with it.

This is probably the nicest Black Elite I've ever seen... I haven't had it appraised yet but I'd be willing to entertain serious offers.

Haha thanks guys.

Bob Hanzel... I was going to accept your offer on the drum but ummm your email doesn't work anymore. You here?

If I don't hear from him I guess I'll toss it up on ebay... hate to pay the fees but oh well I suppose.

$2,000 shipped in the US would do it...

I WANT THIS DRUM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But I am afraid if I had that kind of money I would buy a new old vintage Ludwig/Leedy kit LOL

Dude that is one sweet snare though! Contact John The Pulvirizer the drummer for Big **** on My Space. He collects Leedy Drums. He is also a major bike builder so he has the $$$$ Not to mention they do not use a tour bus they have their own Jet instead. Myself I like the tour bus! He looks intimadating but John is a sweetheart of a guy!

Tell him Danny Meazell sent you!
