Here is a very nice specimen! Easily a 9 out of 10!

Date stamped MAY 19 1968

Serial number 721833

Clear maples interior, 3 ply w/re-rings

Slight yellowing

Round dial muffler

Includes nice Ludwig case

Chrome is nice as is the wrap…maybe a touch of rust on the top hoop. Minimal!

Seam is nice and tight

The only real flaws are:

Light snare rash below the muffler. Rash also apparent on the lugs to the left and right of the muffler on the batter side of the drum. (Pictured)

I think the bottom head was removed for some time at some point. The bearing edge is a little flawed and there is a small piece of wrap that appears to have been broken out. Both issues are on the resonant side near where the seam is and the collar on the head covers the small wrap flaw. I tried Ludwig Heavy coated heads on the drum and it tuned up and sounded fine. I tried to capture the flaws in the pictures.

The heads that came on it are also old and fried. Older Remo Ambassador Coated batter and smooth white Ludwig Weather Master (original?). These are the heads that were on it when I gained possession, and these are the heads the buyer will receive.

Ludwig case included! Will be shipped in this case.

Not sure what the drum is worth with the case and flaws as mentioned?
