F/S: 60 Slingy GK 1-N Ensemble 22/13/16/14

The time has come for me to part with these beautiful drums. As pictured, complete with period cymbals/stands, original cowbell/woodblock, McKinley muffler in BD, correct hardware, and matching RK snare. 13" Tom is date stamped Jan. 15 1959, FT is dated 1960, no stamps in BD or Snare. Just as pictured in the 59 Slingerland catalog. Only flaw is 3 holes in the top of the BD where a tom mount had been mounted back in the 60's(look close in the 2nd pic by the badge). Located on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Asking Price $2400 for this time capsule. Also comes with period Slingerland mallets and correct wrenches.

Cymbals are:

14" Zildjian Hi-Hats

20" Zildjian Ride

14" Paiste 602, think it's a hi-hat

16" ZILCO by AZCO sizzle

All in excellent shape, no cracks or keyholes.

Correct Hi-Hat stand, AA pedal(altough I also have an Epic tthat I think has better action).

Heads are in excellent condition. BD front head is original calf head logo head, not torn!

I've seen sets on eBay with no hardware or cymbals asking about the same price.

These are as complete as you can get! When I got them, they did need some TLC, but the reason I bought them was the history and completeness of the kit, and the story behind them. I will share that story with the buyer. It goes back to the original owner and how these survived all these years! Amazing really.

Obviously, I don't have to sell them, but I just am not that much of a collector, more of a player. I love the history of drums and can't pass up buying when the opportunity arises, perhaps saving a drum from destruction or worse.

These weren't cheap, and I cleaned them up and put new batter heads and a few other things here and there to complete. Like the bottom hoop on the 13" tom, it was a triple flanged. Ebay dollars later and it has a correct COB hoop on the bottom. In fact, the pictures still show the Triple flanged bottom hoop.

I'd like these to go to a good home, so PM me if interested!
