FS - 1975 5x14 CoB Rogers Dynasonic (oval badge) - with case and manual!

Loading...

Hi folks -

For sale here is a 1975 Rogers Dynasonic with oval badge. SN# 55617

As you can tell from the photos, it is in excellent condition. I am selling this snare on behalf of my uncle, who is sadly no longer able to play due to arthritis. He is the second owner of this drum, which includes (what we believe to be) the original case and manual (also pictured).

All hardware is intact and in great working/playing condition. The drum has been stored in it's case for approximately 10+ years at this point.

Damage not shown - the back cover of the paper manual is torn in half (half the cover is gone). Aside from that tear, there's pretty much nothing negative about this package.

Looks great, sounds great. Here are the pics:

Based on the help of the resident expert members here, we've decided to ask $350.00 + shipping for the package.

The snare is currently with me in Central NJ, and I can ship nationwide. FedEx Home delivery is probably the most affordable solution, I would guess shipping to cost about $20 to most of the country before insurance. Actual shipping costs will be calculated upon the sale.

Please feel free to reply here, or email me directly - ken@bimmertools.com

Thanks in advance!

Ken

PS: We (my uncle and I) will be selling his BIG Ludwig kit shortly. I mention this here in case there is someone hunting for a similar setup - we can rush to get it cleaned up and packaged. Here are the specs:

Mid-70s 'Melodic Tom' - most likely a 'Quadra Plus' set

(4) Mounted toms, open bottom concert style shells, white - 13, 14, 15, 16

(2) floor toms with bottom rims, white - 18, 20

24" white bass drum

Includes stands. There are some missing lugs and bass drum claws from what he tells me. We've not settled on an asking price yet. It was purchased (by my uncle) with the Dynasonic above...

Thanks again.

I think that's older than a '75? Didn't the 70's models usually all have the Big R badge? Seems like the oval Dyna COB snares were 60's and a little bit into '71...

Found it!!

Eric - the 1975 date estimate was based on information uncovered here: http://www.vintagedrumforum.com/showthread.php?t=13087

TommyP places it at that date based on the serial number. It was one of the later oval badges before the Big R came around.

Wayne - thanks for the confidence boost. I'd much prefer to sell it here than on the Bay or CL.

That's a nice drum but maybe at the top end of it's scale – $400 is top dollar for a 70's dyna, I think if it's priced at $300 you'd sell it.

Thanks. That would probably be an acceptable offer (hint...) :)
