French Snare from the 20/30's

this old snare where found in the brocante market in my village.

Complete with goat head drums in perfect state, this snare makes a 90 years journey in incredible condition. WPM.

When the weather is good and "hydrometrie" not too high, it sound beetwen a mellow latin timbales and the sound of the late Levon Helm.

Metric size, not really round (31.1 cm x 31.9 cm)

Aluminium hoop, Brass lugs.

Cool looking old drum,nice find.

Interesting to me that the drum has no reinforcing rings,being that old,and it looks like it never had them.

Is it a ply drum? looks like it from the pic
