French MORI'S JAZZ from the 50/60

Loading...

Hi there, this is a "Mori's jazz drum" made in France (exact is Paris 75011) in th 50's.

The wrap is a kind of flammed WMP! Very nice.

Half animal and plastic drumhead this kit sound great, like the old Art Blackey recording...

Mori's where one of the first to do plastic drumhead in France. The "Atelier de Luthier" still exist in Maison Laffitte and it's "Atelier Philippe Rault facteur d'instruments".

Go to their website, it's beautiful.

I hope you'd enjoy this old lady

Eric

Mori ... never heard of before.

Thanks for sharing your pics: a nice piece of history!

The tom bracket is a modification, isn't it? (But - if yes - how was it mounted before?)?

morish

Here the Mori's plastic logo on the snare

the tom bracket is a Wooding and the modifcation came from the end of 70's (due to the newspaper found in the bass drum)
