In fact, here's pictures of the red one, just for comparison. A nice three ply with rings. I held onto this one for quite a while hoping to find the kit... never saw another like it.

and I have a L cym arm for the bass drum..just need the top tilter thingy
I gotta say the rack tom sounds Great..
The Flr tom..I'm still tuning it up & dwn...not what I want..
But I think its because I have a WK Coated Emperor on top & (a WK Emperor batter on the bottom)..! gonna change the bottom skin to something lighter to open it up a lil...

WOOT!You know, I don't think I've ever seen an entire 'Gracy' kit. I've owned a couple nice orphan floor toms, but never an entire kit. The floor toms were great quality for MIJ's. One was a badly faded gold sparkle, the other a gorgeous red diamond pearl.Nice find!
Anybody know what yr this is..?
I'm just taking a guess with a 67/69..?

I'd say you're real close on the date... '65 to 70 (max). I used a Diplomat on the reso head and an Ambassador on the batter. Like most MIJ's I tuned to the drums' sweet spot, and I think I remember finding a couple.

Very nice drums!
I have a complete set of Gracy's with that same badge that you have. Mine are BDP and are "normal" two lug and not club date style like yours. Those look very sweet!
Mine are the same sizes (except my rack tom is an 8" x 13"), but the tom mount on the bass drum is a post mount with the same diamond bracket mount on the tom.
I tune mine up a little higher for jazz, but I have found that Coated Ambassadors on the tops and bottoms of the toms are great, and Coated Powerstroke 3's on the bass drum work well too.
Very nice kit, have fun with those! Is there anything more classy than a well maintained silver sparkle kit?

The set is from about 1964-66--In 1966 Gracy drums changed the floor tom leg mount's and the tom mount and the badge's
