Being a '70's kid, I love seeing those butcher block Ludwig and Rogers kits.
I always picture them being used by a fern bar cover band, where the guitar and bass players each have light natural finish Fenders with maple fretboards.
Bellbottoms and mustaches.
Anyway, the Formica I've seen seems too stiff and brittle to be rolled into a 10" or even 12" diameter without cracking.
Was this stuff some special thinner Formica or do I have it wrong and regular countertop Formica can be rolled that tight?
I have a vague memory from the early '80's (actually few memories from the '80's that aren't vague) of the drummer in my garage band rewrapping his shells with something that looked to me like Formica.
