This is what I'm playing on my 1968 Ludwigs now (all Remo):
Coated pinstripe batter, hazy ambassador snare side for supraphonic.
Fiberskins on batter and clear ambassador on reso for all toms.
Batter and reso heads tuned to 75 using a drum dial.
The 22" base still has the original Ludwig weather masters on both heads. Tuned to 70 with the drum dial.
Keep on Pl

I have a set of 3-ply Standards that I restored. I started out with Evans coated G2s on top and clear G1s underneath. I am currently using coated G14s instead; they provide similar enhanced tonality to the G2s but with better sensitivity since they are single-ply. The kick batter is a clear EQ3 and the front is a ported EQ3.
