This is now SOLD. Thanks!

For sale is an eye-catching and unique factory-matched Vintage Early 1970s Slingerland Avante Outfit 60N in Red Tiger Pearl in excellent players shape. The Avante outfit features three mounted toms - 12/13/14 - as well as 16 floor and 22 bass with four spurs. Chrome has some oxidation and pitting. Chrome over steel stick saver hoops. Wrap is very vibrant and tight. Minimal scuffs and rash - the worse shown on the 12 in the photos. All 3 ply shells are in-round and feature the clear maple interiors. Some hairline splits in inner plys, but no lifting or separation. Original bearing edges are in decent shape and tune up well. The batter side edges are in better shape than the resonant edges as they must have been played with their bottom hoops off for a period of time, but nothing that effects the sound or tuning. One more heavy of a gash on the 14 bottom edge, but only cosmetic and into the wrap side of edge - hidden by hoop. Could use some new heads as current heads are used and mis-matched. Silver and black Niles badges with the following serials - 12: 94363, 13: 94076, 14: 81597, 16: 93980, 22: 100986. Overall a sweet-looking kit with that Slingerland 3 ply goodness!

Asking (Was $1495.00) NOW $1195.00 or best offer plus shipping to the continental US only. Please message me with interest. Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Very eye-catching. Replacement BD hoops? I thought that vintage had the matching pearl inlay. Chrome looks real good though.

Yeah - had to go with original Slingerland chrome inlay hoops. Finding matching Red Tiger hoops was an uphill battle so decided to go with these. I think they look great.

Thanks!

They do. That wrap is supposedly much more impressive in person. Pictures don't quite capture it. Good luck with sale.

Great looking Avante outfit! When I saw those chrome inlay hoops, I also thought this must be a 1976 or later kit. Your serial numbers proved otherwise. Yes, finding matching inlay would be an uphill battle! The chrome inlay does look very nice with the kit. Hope the kit sells!

I think the switch to chrome inlays was right around 1974 which is also when the red tiger was discontinued.

Yes. Mid '74 for chrome inlay according to DrCJW. Wish he was still around.
