For sale is a gorgeous Vintage 1961 Ludwig Pre-Serial Super Classic 5.5x14 Snare in White Marine Pearl. Excellent players grade. Wrap is slightly yellowed, but evenly faded, tight and glossy. Nickel hardware plus Nickel Over Brass hoops with some wear and minor oxidation. Shell is in-round with very nice shape original bearing edges and vivid original interior paint. Red date stamp of JUN 13 1961 present. Original classic strainer throw functions perfectly. Features pre-serial keystone badge. Just an overall classic, eye-catching drum that tunes up great and sounds superb!

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.
