I'll need to do a couple things before I list this one on eBay. I'm going to clean it up and put a new batter head on it. I need to go over it with a fine toothed comb and make sure it's perfect. At quick glance, it looks perfect. Not a scratch or a ding. Should clean up nicely.
Couple questions about this snare....
How do I know if these are first or second gen lugs?
Are these the "Tall Boy" counterhoops?
There is no tag on the inside. Did these snares have a paper label like the other Rogers drums I own?
The serial number is 8284. I believe that dates this to Dayton, about 1965 or 1966.
I took a quick look on eBay and it looks like these are selling anywhere from $400-$500 to $600-$700.
Once I get a couple details (like the hoops and lugs) done and get it cleaned up, I'll take a zillion pictures and set a firm price but for now I'll consider any offer you want to make. Once I set a price, I'm sure it will be between 500 and 700. Probably closer to 500.
Thanks for looking.
