This is a Ludwig rounded corner Blue Olive badge 5"x14" 8 lug Acrolite. Serial number is 3004553. There is no date stamp inside the shell. Shell has no damage. Bowtie lugs look great. 12 hole blackface P85 works nicely. Has the original 2517124 Ludwig 12 strand wires and new Ludwig snare cords. Large round knob muffler works as it should. Drum is completely original with the exception of the snare wires and a new Remo Coated Ambassador batter head. Still has the highly desired Ludwig X-Thin clear snare side head. The batter hoop has a good bit of plating loss. Not sure why as the rest of the drum looked great. I did not have a different hoop to install in its place. The drum sounds very nice and has been completely detailed,tuned and ready to play. On these round corner models, some of the lugs have the tendency to snap where the lugs attach. I always install new,longer machine bolts in place of the originals. These go further into the casting of the lug and will keep your workhorse going. None were snapped. I just like being proactive on these. Everybody needs one of these!
