Now this is one neat drum. This is a 3 ply Club Date style eight bowtie lug, separate tension 12"x17" Tenor Tom (not a snare). Serial number is 101628, which is usually a Spring '65 drum. This drum has no extra holes(no marching bracket holes) or damage. It has the original Mahogany finish. Has a nice look overall including the Resacote interior.. Bearing edges are excellent. You can feel the little lines in the finish but it is not flaking off. I've had this drum for several years now and the finish has remained the same. It has chrome over brass(COB) triple flange hoops. Has the original small round knob muffler. It also has both of it's original Ludwig Weather Master Parade batter heads with lots of life left in them.
This drum can be used for many purposes. It could still be a marching tenor if desired. I have used it often as a Bop style Bass drum. It could also be used as a great sounding floor tom. They make legs that attach to the hoops for this purpose. Or, even the purist in me sees no problem with adding the proper Ludwig legs/mounts to it. If you're already using a 12x15 floor tom, this would be a nice addition for two down. The finish looks cool. Possibly a candidate for a rewrap to match your kit as well.
Has some hand painted art on it worth mentioning. it can be seen in one of the pics. It reads "Primus Inter Pares", which is Latin means " first among equals". This is directly at the back center of the drum. I've enjoyed this drum plenty and it's time to pass it on.
