This is another very nice Ludwig Model 1123 flat base Spur-Lok hi hat stand. These were made for a short period of time in the early to mid 60's. Ringo Starr played one of these for years and they are often referred to as the Ringo stand. These are the only Spur-Lok models with the flat base configuration. These are nice lightweight, yet sturdy stands with smooth simple action. The chrome is nice on this one. There is some light pitting on the center of the base. The base does include the ball bearing and strap that helps hold the pedal in place. From time to time I run across these that have a hole in the bottom tube where the wing nut tightens. This has that hole and present no problems. Everything on this stand works flawlessly. Has all original wingnuts. Does have the original Ludwig stamped rubber hi hat cup for the bottom cymbal. The inner rubber guide is worn off like most. The hi hat clutch is a new vintage style replacement. The top rod is very nice with hardly any clutch marks. Original memory clamp is included. Leg rubber boots look like new. Pedal has minimal wear and looks great. This one is nice enough for your collection and dependable enough to put into full action!
