For Sale: Ludwig 1123 (Ringo) Spur-Lok Hi Hat Stand

This is a nice Ludwig Spur-Lok 1123 flat base hi hat stand. I've had and sold quite a few of these over the last few years. This one has a super smooth action and looks nice. There is just a spot of chrome loss at the right leg brace as seen in the pic. These were made for a very short period in the early/mid 60's. Ringo played one of these for years. These are the first of the Spur-Lok stands and the only one in flat base configuration. It is a solid example and is ready to use. The board shows average wear. The pedal rod has a pin installed underneath the pedal as extra security for the rod ever coming out of the pedal. It also includes the strap and ball bearing underneath as they are almost always missing. They are used to secure the pedal rod to the base. The rubber stem on the hi hat seat is often cracked and missing on these. This has a new replacement model that also has the lower hat tilter. Also includes a new replacement hi hat clutch as well. Has both original wing nuts. The top rod is original and in nice condition. Includes original memory lock clamp and new rubber leg boots as well.

Please feel free to pm me here or email to mikelayton@bellsouth.net if you have any questions. Thank you!

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.
