Hi Retro!
There's a lot of folks out there making replica SK Singles...more than likely made by the same factory, but I've used the repo's & they're really nice quality! Check out:

I've dealt with all these suppliers & have had no problems. Good Luck!
I have some of the small ones from an old Star tom so they were available long ago. I think there are two styles available today. Some that are pretty close and some that are pretty much exact.
Thanks Guys.
Fungus: Those repros ARE really nice! Thanks. Not too badly priced at 2.79
I'd need 16 of them to reproduce the SK snare.

Thanks buddy! These guys deal with the best boutique builders in the country & they don't sell junk. I've spent more money than I care to think about with these folks & have no regrets. Show us some pics when you get her strapped up.

You can also fine these lugs on 60's M.I.J. drums. Some of the ones made by Pearl and Star..You can also fine them on drums made by Sunlite drums[1980s-90's]..All these lugs are copy's of S/L some look more like S/L lug's so don't...Mikey
Buy them from Matt.

You will only save a couple of bucks. but the customer service will astound you. I am certain that if there is a problem in the first year, he will gladly replace them.
I have no interest in the business other than being a super satisfied customer.
The Pearl version, from the 60s, are longer in the back end. The Star version is almost, if not exactly the same. Many people don't know or will not accept, the fact that Star made some parts for Bud Slingerland in the late 60s-early 70s. It is a fact, no matter what anyone tries to say.
I have done many hours of research on the ties between Star/TAMA and Slingerland. There was, at one time, a deal on the table to sell Slingerland to the Hoshino Gakki Corporation but Congress, in their infinite wisdom, blocked the deal. My guess is pressure from Pearl or CBS. In my honest opinion, I think we would have been better off with Hoshino owning them than CBS....
Jonny, I'd agree with you!! After what CBS did to Fender Guitars AND Rogers Drums, they would have been better off anywhere else.
Theres a great book about Fender Guitars written by the general manager of the factory for like 12 years. He explains how CBS, in their zeal to cost cut, ruined the name of Fender. Excellent book.
Sadly, it seems that the world is in a mad dash towards mediocrity! The "new world order" thinking that "we all need to be the same because it's not fair to the uninspired" is the reason we walk into a music store & throw-up in our mouths a little. Even the high & mighty DW has succumbed to the bottom line...I only mention them because of their self-righteous attitude in the past about out sourcing their drums...sadly, they too are villains in this tragedy!
I am a huge fan of the writer Ayn Rand...her book "The Fountainhead" was the first thing that came to mind (well, my crazy mind anyway) when reading this thread & thinking about all of the BS that's going on with these companies that USED to be the standard of excellence...at the forefront (in my mind) is Rogers...it makes me want to puke over what's happened to the company that made the finest drums in the world for several decades & is now a laughing stock to even 12 year old kids! (that was a run-on sentence from hell! LOL!) I know that businesses get in bad shape & go under, but selling these historic companies names for a little pocket change makes me want to go on a Tri-State killing spree! Unfortunately, business is business & it is up to us...we are the guardians of these pieces of history...our history...personally, I consider it an honor to find & restore dignity to these beautiful works of art!
OK, I'll step down off the soapbox now...you can all make fun of me now! Yes Sir
