Unbeknownst to anyone, that drum is an ancient Egyptian Ta Fra Ta Dum drum, not known by anyone to have existed, and potentially worth untold millions of hagradad.**hagradad is not a word.

Oh, thank goodness. Here I thought I'd been taken advantage of. Now it looks like I will be able to purchase the collections of everyone on this board. Get 'em packed up, guys...we'll need a truck.

A few months back I saw a Ludwig case in an antique mall. It was the older suitcase style. My heart was racing as I popped the latches. I figured it would probably be an Acro but you just never know...well it was that exact same drum (well maybe not that EXACT one but it's close cousin). A blue sparkle six lug Slingerland copy. Dang!

I got one of these cases awhile back and it also had a MIJ red sparkle snare! Wonder where the snares are getting off to? But, mine did have an Avedis first stamp hi hat inside too.

I believe the most commonly used name for the Contoura case is UFO?

Anyone ever find these cases lined with red felt? :drool

Never know what you'll find in those places, gotta look though, because you never know.

I remember a few years ago, a Ludwig Black Beauty showed up in an antique mall in Cumberland, MD. The guy put it on eBay and it sold for almost $3k!

Isn't the nickname for the Contura "Tombstone" ?

The "UFO" case was the all plastic one, usually black but sometimes bright orange.
