Fixing Up Oyster Pinks

Loading...

Picked up my '65 Oyster Pink Pearl Slingerland Gene Krupa Deluxe Outfit No. 1N.

Specifications are as follows:

Oyster Pink Pearl on wood shells natural finish interior, black and brass Niles badges, December 1965stamped in Bass drum. Snare drum is a Gene Krupa Sound King 8 lug Chrome snare with a zoomatic strainer ($5.00 add on at time of order).

Bass Drum is a 14"x22" ($8.00 add on at the time of order)

Tom is 9"x13"

Floor Tom is 16"x16"

cow bill is original 4 1/2"

I have the original Zildjian "A" 18" ride from 1965 in very good shape and original Zildjian "A" 14" hi hats. My crash cracked in 1985 which was the reason I put the set away (short on cash for the last 23 years).

I need the rubber feet for the flush base stands, floor tom legs, bass spurs, and throne. I need the knurled finger screw for hooking the bass pedal spring to the beater. I need the chrome screw top for the beater and possibly a new beater head. I am missing the thumb screw for my hi hat stand that tilts the bottom cymbal. I would like to replace the leather straps for the hi hat and bass pedal.

What are good sources for finding a 16" Zildjian crash?

Also not urgent but I would like to find the stickers for the stands as mine are scuffed up (I know somebody used to list on Ebay but I haven't seen in a while) and a "Slingerland" logo bass head.

Anyone have a good idea on the value of drums and/or cymbals?
