Get a piece of scrap wood at least 12 to 14 inches long and 1 inch thick. Draw the radius of the drum you're working on onto the scrap wood and cut it in half following the radius line. Those two pieces will become your edge clamp!

Clean out the lifted area as best you can with an old toothbrush, or bristle brush. Just make sure all dirt and debris is out. Run a little Crazy glue in between the wrap and the shell (not too much! You don't want a lot of squeeze out when you clamp it,) then place the mold/shims you made on the area to be glued and clamp the wood pieces (one on the outside edge, and the other piece behind the reinforcement ring,) and leave it alone for at least 24 hours. If you have a lot of edge to glue, do it in sections. Your home-made wood clamps won't reach all the way around the bearing edge. Work your way around. The wood blocks that match the curvature of the drum will do the trick. If you cut the corners off of the wood scrap after doing the radius cut, you'll have more clamping points along the edge. Clamping wrap at the bearing edge is always a bit of a challenge.
