1963 Slingerland Hollywood Ace

Started at 1:30 this AM, and just finished up at 6:30.

Removed everything... broke down the lugs all the way.

Replaced all felts, removed and cleaned the t-rod receivers.

Replaced the t-rods, a lot were bent and non-matching.

There's not a single blem on the COB hoops.

Scotts Liquid Gold on the interior....generic lemon wax on the exterior.

Lightly sanded and waxed the bearing edges.

Disassembled, cleaned, and lubed the Rapid Strainer..... it was sticking.... glides like butter now. Did the same with the tone control and strainer butt.

New Ambassadors and a $8.00 set of Duplex Snappy snare wires.

Sounds like a snare drum now !!

Only three drums to spruce up now for this 1963 Modern Jazz Outfit.......
