Yep GW can be a good source for drums and things. You really need to look at each item closely as sometimes they will list the drum as a Remo or Evans. Or by whatever type of heads it has. But seems lately they are getting better with brand names. I joined there a while ago and check there often. :)

I have seen that Goodwill auction seem to lend some great buys for people... it led me to start hitting the Goodwill shop I pass on my way home from work... no luck there.

When the GW auction site first went online, it was a good source to get vintage drums for little cost. But now that everyone knows about GW auctions, it's become a lot like e-bay.

I did win a 1966 Supra back in 2011. If I remember, it was just over $200. It didn't look like this when I got it.

So, yes you can get good deals from the GW auction site.
