not late 70's --I don't know why I said that-----probably because Tacton and Tromsa continued with it for a while. That wrap shows up when the Sonor Swinger line came out with the blocky lugs( 1973?). I think it may have only been for one year. There was also Red Typhoon, which Sonor had for 3 years at least. Tacton had that too but also Green Typhoon and Blue Typhoon. Search: drumarchive tacton and there is a 1974 catalogue with all those wraps in it. The sonormuseum site has a small Swinger New Style drums catalogue that has the PolyPop and Red Typhoon.

Weldwood also sells a water based contact cement. $15 a qt at Home Depot. I used it on the 13" tom I wrapped a few weeks ago and worked great. I bought the wrap from Drum Foundry who said either the 3M or Weldwood products are fine to use. I ordered the 3M glue in neutral twice from out local Grainger store. Both times it came in the green color. So went with the WW glue and was lots cheaper and neutral in color as well. I thought with the wrap color I was using (WMP) the green color might show through and thought neutral was best. My first wrap job so I wasn't sure about the glue color.
