So in my final quest to find a nice vintage"beater" snare drum, i've finally got one today, thanks to fellow forum member and friend, drumfx. (Thanks brother!)

He was kind enough to notify when he found the snare drum and asked if i wanted it.. I accepted..He also gave me a good deal and was nice enough to bring it over to my home. The snare drum is a vintage 5x14 "Supreme" brand MIJ 10 lug (yes, 10 lug !) and is heavy as hell, which makes me think it's a possible chrome over brass ?I will be doing the magnet test to make sure ;)

I'm in the process of bringing it back to life with a good scrub down, clean up, lube, polishing, etc.. Looks like it's gonna clean up very nicely. Barely any rust or pitting and all the parts are functioning nicely. I would also like to know who made "supreme".. (Tama Pearl ??) I'll post pics once everything is done !

cheers,

Rob

Hey, Rob! That's good to hear. I have a set of Supremes. Pretty good sounding drums. They were definitely made by Star. Enjoy your new acquisition!

Thanks for the info and comments guys ! Can't wait to play this little guy ;)I don't about you guys, but i've tried researching this snare drum on the internet and there's barely anything on this snare or "Supreme" drums.. Tried google images and only a few things come up, but nothing major..Weird. Lol..
