that is a very pleasant little kit----great wrap. ---the two mounts are for bass mounted accessories; one likely , the one closest to the front once carried a telescoping cymbal arm with an L shaped lower section and the one on the left rear carried a cowbell or cowbell/woodblock combination mount. Regarding the T-rods. I would think the ones on the batter side, which sort of resemble tap handles are the originals. The bow shaped ones on the front were also fitted on Japanese drums----I've seen them a lot on Stewarts here in Canada. Obviously the threads are the same , otherwise they wouldn't be on your drum.---I guess receiver nuts could have been changed.
Figuring out what my drums may be...
Very cool. Where would one go about finding a cymbal arm to use off of that mount? I was thinking about it yesterday durring practice, and I think I would use a little splash somewhere over there.
Those ,unfortunately get lost ,used as camera monopods, temporary flagples or barbecue skewers or whatever. Even the MIJ ones go for ridiculous prices. They had a Slingerland knockoff cymbal tilter on most of them and they worked well. They are usually 45.00+ plus shipping. I have new ones, which are very good and a reasonable match for the drums. 37.00 +shipping, incl.,felts and wing. The tilter is a little beefier than the vintage ones. D.W. has them too, with a heavier shaft and mount and they are around a 100.00. Those are high end. I've seen them go as low as 75.00 but the retail on them is ,I think 129.00.
Dang! I suppose that would be an easy part to leave out...perhaps once I get bags for these made I can look to invest in that part.

keep your eye on ebay---occasionally they show up for a decent price; usually when the seller is a little unsure of what he has and misdescribes them--------nabbed a Premier one a while ago for 10.00 but they are a thing right now, so they are usually expensive. If I see one at a good price I'll p.m. you. It is a nice addition to a vintage kit to have a bass mounted arm----and on a tight little jazz kit you can get away with a 22" ride/crash on one of those arms well mounted. They are the Kat's Meow.
I tried to hang a ride in that general area a while ago on a different kit. I have played for too many years with two rack toms that having a ride over there just feels uncomfortable. Perhaps in time when I learn some real skills! I also have a hard time justifying a stand, or even an arm off of a stand for a tiny little splash. This would fit I think...in time...
For now I am going to keep working on my big Ludwig kit and rock the snot out of this kit.
With reared to different T-Rods and Lugs. It was easy enough to change the nut in the lug when you changed tension rods. I have seen MIJ kits with the original lugs and non-matching rods. Man drummers did whatever it took to keep a kit together, especial the easy Stencil kits!
Enjoy Rocking the kit!
As well I do bumzdrummer, so it's no surprise that things don't match. I was just curious more than anything I suppose.
I have been searching CL locally for a few weeks now trying to score another vintage kit. If these Pearls were the low end stuff of the day...I can't imagine what a period Ludwig or Slingerland would do to my brain. My Ludwigs are too far off from completion, and I still want to find an actual 16" Ludwig floor tom to match.
