Yes indeed! This particular Fibes/CFMartin acrylic shell was not built in great numbers. They weren't very popular in the aesthetics department, although the sound was "typical" of an acrylic shell. I see them pop up here and there within the Fibes groups of enthusiasts, but they're almost always a tough sell .. unless .. they are priced attractively. These look to be in very nice condition, and they are "rare" based on the previous statements, but I guess one would REALLY have to have a jones on for 'em!

Cool looking kit. And yea those seem like they'd be a tad harder to move.

I see that it is missing the optional bracket for the shampoo and conditioner. Sorry...it was just too easy. :p Interesting looking kit!

I wonder if you use Clorox and not Novus 1-2-3 to clean them :)

interesting. i never seen a fibes kit in that shell finish.

that shell is avail today as i'm built many kits with those shells when i worked at a indie drum co.

the first time i seen that shell was on this site years ago. someone (maybe even me) posted pics of a early hoshino kit.

Here are mine shortly after I got them in the door. Mine do have some hairline cracks near the bass and one tom mount. (No changes since purchase.) Lately I have used Rims mounts with them. They sound great, lots of body, tone and authority. I like 'em,never leave them in the vehicle and use them as my summer drums.

I found one on vacation about 3 or 4 years ago in pretty sad shape - filthy, rusty, missing parts. I spent a lot of time and money bringing it back to life. 22, 13, 16, matching snare. I think I sold it for around $1400 or so if I recall correctly.
