Hello!... and welcome!

The Fibes SFT strainer can be found with moderate regularity on... where else ... eBay! Put Fibes in your "searches" and you can one click search/check for this part every day... you can even have eBay send you an email as soon as someone lists the particular part/item you are looking for. Other options would be exactly what you did here... or ...

You could go direct to Fibes as the SFT is still available. Here's the link to the Fibes parts/price list: http://www.fibes.com/pdf/partsfull.pdf Good luck!

Thanks for the quick reply!

Yes Im an avid ebayer, and pickings are very slim for fibes hardware (and drums for that matter) right now, and i've been to the fibes website and seen the parts list, but you have to order the parts from fibes dealers, and those arent easy to find either, so my next step was vintage drum forum! maybe if anyone knows an authorized fibes dealer?

Hello again!...

Okay... let's try this: Not knowing WHERE you are located, here's a link to the Fibes network of dealers, country wide: http://www.fibes.com/dealers.htm Have a look... and good luck!! WAIT!!!... I just checked this link, and it really supplies no answer. However!... on the Fibes HOME PAGE, there is a phone number for contact. I would call them on Monday... maybe they would sell direct? But if not, ask them just WHERE they have a dealer that you can order parts from.

PS: It's funny actually, whenever anyone is actively looking for a particular part on eBay, they just don't show up... or at least it SEEMS that way... but ... if you don't want/need that particular part, there seems to be no shortage!! :-)

I've got one, will send a pm.

Fibes has been out of bussiness for a while now, as I discovered when restoring a clear Crystalite kit, but parts & drums show up on e-bay every so often, it's true-when you want it you can't find it, but it comes around eventually.

Fibes is OOB??!! I guess that explains all the difficulty in reaching them then! Hmmm... now that you mention it, I do believe I read something about that... and ... that Fibes was "planning" on being back up and running by the first of the year, or something like that. I guess we will have to see if that is indeed the case!

That would be great if they were to start up again, I have'nt played any of their recent drums, but am a fan of the 70's stuff.

It took me a while to find parts to restore a 12, 13, 16, 20 Clear Crystalite.

Still looking for a 14x14 floor tom to go with that.

TommyP your pic of the COF snare helped me out as a reference to mine.

The strainer is in the mail, keeping Fibes alive flower
