Fibes (60-70's) serial numbers. Info needed...

Loading...

Does anyone have any idea, how these numbers were used during C.F.Martin era?

Is there any logic on those numbers?

I have few items of Nazareth-made Fibes;

I have COF-kit with serials 23xxx (printed) and just bought a copper over f/g SFT690 snare with s/n 17010. The latter was though handwritten on decal (same no was also inside the shell). Is this 17xxx former than 23xxx?

On my acrylic snare it's 25xxx...

Or, is there some "crypt" on numbers?

Someone advised to contact Fibes; it's not working... Has somebody did this with results ? Please, share your knowledge....

Anyone?

Another Fibes question: Is that copper wrap on 70's f/g-snare just copper plated? I'm cleaning a shell, that has a tons of dirt on it... on some spots copper starts to "fade away" ?

Could some owner of 70's Fibes f/g snare own PM me? I'd like to chance opinions.
