fiberglass pearl basment find

Yes, that is a Jupiter SD.

The set looks to me (based upon the info and pics given) to be 1978 or 79. By 1980 there were some subtle changes in the hardware. Could be late 77, but IMO more likely 78 or 79.

Also... a 14x14 FT shell is hard to find. They're all keepers, but that one is special!

I need to get pics posted of my latest project. It will be a rewrap, as it's composed of mostly orphan shells (some solid red, some white, some black, and some bare). The hardware I have is all 78 or 79. 1-14x24, 1-14x22, 2-16x16, and for the CTs I have 2-14x16, 2-12x15, 2-10x14, 2-9x13, 2-8x12, 1-5.5x8. So, I'm needing the 5.5x6 and 6x10. So, if anyone reading this has them, I've got plenty of shells, etc. to trade. I've been wanting a Pearl FG "octa-plus" set since the lates 70s. Getting close now!

BTW, I don't have a Jupiter SD, either... but will again someday. :)

I live in So. Calif. are and can help you with restoration advice if needed. I'm in Riverside. The hollow logo Zildjian are 1970's

Its better to have people think you're an idiot, than to open your mouth and prove them wrong, unless you doubt yourself then speak away....

Here' part of my "find..." My Christmas from my wife and 2 of our kids. 22x14, 16x16, and 16x14, 15x12, 14x10, & 13x9 CT's. All 70s Pearl FG.

The 8" tom is NOT FG, and not Pearl. No badge, but the shell's construction tells me either CB700 or Maxwin.

Thanks again for all the info. Havn't started on anything except cleaning the snare. I did do a light clean on the hollow logo Zild 14" hats and 16" crash to practice. I absolutely love them, like the hats better than my new beats. At least at practice so far, cant wait to hear them live n loud lol.

Thinking I might go with the same color white wrap if it's not too expensive or hard to find. Also looking into cleaning hardware or going new...decisions, decisions...:)

Cheers!

Also I forgot to mention @ billnvik...I did think that 14"x14" was a cool size, all I've really noticed so far are 16" and 18" in fg. Can't wait to set them up and play em
