I like just listening to drummers drum. I don't care what genre they play... I like all genres of drumming. Even if you have your own videos of drumming! I want to see them!

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=efERFCN0B_0]Antonio Sanchez[/ame] Antonio Sanchez, drummer for the Pat Metheny Group. The guy's a freakin' monster who can do it all. Fantastic groove, chops galore, lots of nuance, and incredible with polyrhythmic stuff.
[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J1xmRQAUOr8]Vinnie Colaiuta[/ame] I got hooked on Vinnie Colaiuta listening to the stuff he played with Frank Zappa. Give a listen to the crazy parts he nails on Joe's Garage, paying attention to all of the oddball time signatures like the 19/16 (7+7+5) parts in Packard Goose. Even if you don't dig Zappa, Vinnie's worth the listen.

Some guys who play a million notes are playing almost a million notes too many. Jojo plays a ton of notes, but somehow makes them ALL fit and feel just right.

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GrKShqNkcnI]Papa Jo Jones[/ame] Papa Jo Jones was one of Buddy Rich's favorite drummers. That's high praise, especially considering Buddy didn't seem to have many nice words for anyone.
I love lots of the great old jazz players (and some not-so-old): Max Roach, Elvin Jones, Art Blakey, Tony Williams... man I could just keep on listing names.
So many to list,it would take to long,just listin to old big band,jazz,blues music you will fine all the greats..Now far as rock and roll/heavy metal drummers the best one and always number one drummer would have to be Mr. MOON of the Who no one has ever been as good or even come closed to him...Mikey
Some additional youtube possibilities: Dennis Chambers, Bill Bruford, Virgil Donati, Steve Smith, Timm Biery, Terry Bozio, definitely Vinnie Colaiuta and too early to think of more. Look at drummerworld.com; lots of bites and vids.
These are by far my two favorite drum solos. And not to mentoin I picked the two most musical of the bunch! They don't wail away NP style, but this really does it for me. Get it or not, just enjoy! (please don't mention the tuning of some the drums! lol but seriously..)
