Famous Quotes That Are Legend in Your Own Mind Last viewed: 3 hours ago

Ok....I guess I'll start....way back in the 80's we were to play a local college and they wanted to interview us for their paper. During the interview, the interviewer, (I'll call her Nancy), asked if there was anyone famous we would like to play with, my guitarist blurted out "Hendrix!" Nancy says, "Isn't Jimi Hendrix Dead?" In my best John Lennon impersonation, I said, "No, he's alive and well and living with Elvis." I really didn't think anyone heard me because I was very quiet during most of the interview. A few days later when we received a copy of the newspaper, all the guys in the band freaked when they saw Nancy had quoted me and that she had added, "The band has a very witty sense of humor." My band mates had not even heard what I had said, but Nancy did.

"It doesn't have to be beautiful"

I keep reminding myself and my bandmates of this when we're getting neurotic with working on a song.

Back in the early 70's I had set up my drums in a college auditorium and this girl walks up and asks if I am the drummer, to which I answer "yes". She then states " No beat, No band".

No way. That's is funny as hell if it's true.

What song was it? I'm guessing it wasn't The Stripper?
