Estimate value of this slingerland kit

Loading...

My buddy recently bought a poorly taken care of Slingerland kit from back in the day. He purchased it for the great price of $125 and is now selling it $850 because he thinks he saw the same kit (which he probably did) on a website go for $1250. Mind you, that the kit he saw was in immaculate condition and this kit is by no means even close to that condition and is even missing some parts to it and has scratched up hoops too.

I was told by a friend on the Pearl Forum that you guys could give me an estimated value on the kit.

Serial # is 201878

Pics are attached.

The drums are not in the best of shape. Hardware, I know can be replaced but what about the shells? There are a lot of scratches and cuts into the drums.

It's a cool kit it's missing three bottom rims on the toms, get it for $350.00 would be a great price, but $850.00 is a little high in it's current shape.

Your drummers not much good is he!? What you need is someone that's as good as me. ! John Henry Bonham !!

Those are pretty nice. My old kit was the same finish, I do miss it. Is that a 18" floor tom? Looks like it. Good luck and hope you can get them for a good price.

Glenn.

Also make sure there is a capitol M stamped inside the shells. If there's a capitol P stamped inside, then this kit was probably refinished. The stain looks original, but without good photos ,its hard to tell.

Steve,

Do you mind explaining the capital M / capital P stamp please? I am curious and don't know much about that.
