Yes. 60s. It didnt go over so well. It was poorly planned and even more poorly executed.

Not quite correct. Boosey and Hawkes, makers of Ajax and other drum brands made an English version of Rogers drums (Swivomatic hardware, Ajax shells) for a few years in the 1960s. They fetch quite high prices and are well regarded. There were prohibitive import taxes then (pretty high now really too) and US made drums were hard to get. The arrival of Hayman (a Camco-looking UK made set) probably knocked these out as they were very popular.
