English Rogers Snare Drum

Loading...

In a moment of low resistance to VDT (vintage drum temptation) I pressed the button on an English Rogers snare offered by Nelson Drum Co in Nashville. I've been thinking about an entire set, but the right one hasn't shown up. You don't see many, and maybe that will be a stroke of luck for me and the temptation to get a full set will be mitigated. Even so, this snare looked pretty interesting and I was caught in the moment.

Seems to be an English version of the US PowerTone and is said to have relatively high hoops and a beech shell.

There's always room for one more (or two, or three or ...) just keep pushing those buttons!

Looks very interesting. Enjoy it.
