ELP Pictures at an Exhibition 1971

This is some really cool footage of early Emerson Lake, and Palmer. There is a bunch of wacky psychedelic overdubs, but still a great listen. I love what they did with Modest Mussorgsky's master peice, if it wasn't for them I wouldn't have discovered this marvelous composer. Also, check out Carl's kit! Simply gorgeous, a RB Silver Sparkle kit with dual chau gongs! And his cymbals are really sweet. He has an exeptional china cymbal, wich I beleive to be an authentique lion china type, probably made in Wuhan. Very nice indeed.

So, without further ado, let's watch some good old fashion prog rock!!!Jump For Joy

Okay, just had to mention that little screw up from 8:47 - 8:52. I always literally laugh out loud at that part. Truly freaking hilarious! It prooves that he's a human. Laughing H

Thanks "Levon" for the ELP vid. I saw this film in the mid '70s in a movie theatre that played rock films on weekends. Some critic once said of ELP: "What a waste of talent and electricity." Funny quote, but not accurate. OK, ELP went over the top at times. I'm glad they took risks and knocked down barriers in rock 'n roll.

I second that. Heck yeah they went over the top, but I truly apreciate what they did, music wise. I find that Keith pulled off the craziest stunts, like this for example. Pretty self explanatory, but yeah, i'm not feelling that quote. Hmmmm
