in my opinion, ebay is still the best place to sell.unfortunatley, they have so many problems and so many fees, that depending on what you sell, you might not make enough money after all the fees (incl paypal) thats wouldn't be worth the time to list something.
they require electronic payments only, they charge you a listing fee, final selling fee and a paypal fee.i just read on another drum blog that half.com (part of ebay) will start taxing sellers who make something like $20,000. or more.i wouldn't be surprised if that transfers over to ebay and other classified sites.sure, most people won't sell that much, but that's not the issue.
i stopped selling on ebay when they went to electronic payment only.and paypal is not as safe as they want you to think. i know many people have never has a issue with paypal (except the fees) but it common knowledge that a buer can cancel a payment after the items has shipped and the seller is out of the item and the money.i know 5 people who had this happen to them.
i hear there's other electronic payment options too,and i'm sure you wouldn't had a issue like what i just described, but i'm just saying do your research.i'm not trying to detour you from selling on ebay.if your going to do so-that's the place to do it.but guard yourself in all aspects.
