Ebay issue question

I am relatively new on ebay and I have kind of issue with buyer

He bought item, but did not pay.He did not contact me and I contacted him after a few days.He told me he is out of country and can not acsses his account and told me hi will be home 10-12 days after finished auction

Meanwhile ebay opened, after for days, unpaied item case and after 8 days from closing sale, ebay closed unpaid item and record buyer unpaide item

I did not started this case, looks like it is automatically done by ebay or my ebay settings

So buyer is now kind of angry on me

Is there way to solve this?Can ebay re-open case, can he buy or what are other options?

Buyer should realize that if you don't pay, you get penalized. No reason for him to be angry with anyone but himself.

I don't sell on eBay so I'm unaware of the technicalities, but it seems to me that if you trust the buyer (big if), you can now close the deal yourselves without eBay. It's up to him to explain himself to eBay.

Sounds a little sketchy... hope it works out. If he comes back with I will have a friend pick it up and give you a money order over the amount for your trouble... DON'T BITE!!!
