Early 70's Walnut Snare

Just finished cleaning this dark walnut snare up. Just needs some snare wires. This snare came with a complete kit (22/14/14/16/18) I bought on ebay - I was the only bidder (?). Only 5 more drums to clean and re-head. Matches my other kit (24/13/18) perfectly.

Here's another snare pic and another of it in its new home. It sounds great (of course).

The kit pic is of the kit I've owned since 1978. The newer (actually older) kit will take some time to clean and tidy up. It will be fun to see the transformation.

Thanks guys.

The walnut and rosewood finishes are my favorites from Gretsch. Pure class. Beautiful snare and kit.

That is one sweet looking kit! Congrats on your snare find. I love the way the depth of the wood grain looks!
