Early 70's BOP Ludwig Kit Last viewed: 6 hours ago

Loading...

I got this kit about a month ago and recently finished detailing it. It was actually a giant kit that came with a rack, cymbals, stands, 22/12/13/16/18 drums and 6/8/10/14/15/16 concert toms. I think I'll just be playing it as a 4 piece with the 22/13/16 and a 5x14 Supra. I tried playing it with the 18" floor tom, but I just have no use for it (and don't need more stuff to transport). Anyway, here are some before and after pictures. The after pictures just have the 4 piece setup, but the 12 and 18 came out equally nice. I'm just waiting for some tom mounts to arrive. The previous owner was using Gibraltar mounts with the factory holes.

Turned out good.......

A white BD head with 70's logo would look even more awesome!:2Cents:

I was thinking that too, but I held up a white head to compare the two, and I liked the black one better. I almost always prefer a white reso, but the black head makes the black in the wrap stand out better imo.

Thanks guys! I really should take some pictures in better light. This kit is almost mint! I love it. Now that I got it set up with new heads and everything, I love it even more.

great job fantastic kit got love the 18 its probably worth what kit is worth just by its lone some i played one for a while gives you that tympani sound comes in handy at times

April 2nd 1969 scarfed pink champagne holly wood and 65/66 downbeat snare, and , supra same year very minty kit old pies
66/67 downbeat with canister
Super 400 small round knob
1967 super classic obp

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.
