Early '70 Ludwig Set w/Mach Lugs - could it be???

Loading...

Hi everyone! This is my my first post...

I?m from Argentina.. so my english could not be pretty good... my apologies....

(spanish private messages are welcome, to avoid confusse people at forum...)

Well, the thing is that as you can imagine,

here in my country, is not so common to see a Ludwig set.

LESS, A VINTAGE SET! Keep on Pl

and people at ebay do not ship international generally. I work hardly to get my '74 supra..

I actually read a local post offering a vintage set, 22", 13", 16" in black wrap, clear interiors w/ reinforcement rings

(B/O ?70 pointy badges with serials 788586, 786252, 788558).

I call the person who?s offering it, and I was told that its owner (he?s death) was and old musician from a Tango Orchestra,

who brings this kit from USA at '70s.

I check the serials and it seems razonable...

but this man describes long lugs on drum...

could be possible?

I know some basics about '60 and '70 but never heard about long lugs on a seventies? kit...

I imagine the mach lugs from ?80 and nowadays.

help!!!!!!! Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!!

Yes, there were Ludwig kits from the early 1970's that were 3 ply, clear interiors with reinforcement rings and long "mach" lugs. They're pretty rare, but they do exist. Check the interiors to make sure they are not the later 6 ply shells.
