Looking for a early 60's 20x14 16-lug or 22x14 20-lug Slingerland bass drum shell with maple exterior suitable for a lacquer re-finish. No hardware or hoops needed, no extra holes.

Thanks

Thanks Deadhead.... I'm in the same situation.

I have a 13 tom and a 16FT from about '58 to '60 in maple suitable for a painted or mahogany re-finish, and am looking for a bass to go with them. Heading toward a Krupa Ensemble if I ever find the bass... I've got all the components except the bass shell.... patience , patience, patience...LOL

Are those mahogany Slingy drums clean with a decent finish? I would be interested if so.

My '58 in Blue Glitter bass is in great shape, just some attractive crackling on the topside, but it is going towards a project. Otherwise, it would be yours for the asking, my friend!

Look carefully in these pix, you might see something. Other than that, I will go up next Sat to have a look around, camera in hand.

If ever there was a sweet naked shell for you...

Nice one. It seems to fit the bill nigh perfectly. Pop the wrap and lacquer her up...careful how you take that part of the post.
