You are VERY right on that.The weight of the snare is just too much for bass the way this is configured!I also find it too low to work for me too.The snare was a separate purchase from the rest of the set,but I was really glad to find it.Glad to have this unusual set in my collection.Thanks to all for the nice comments.Photo from another angle of the snare mount.
Maybe try to add another set of Spurs to the bass drum & the snare
Arm, may not be long enough...?
There is another arm (made specifically for this) that should be another 4" longer to help With the snare sitting higher...!

P.s. Have you tried switching the Tom arm for the snare arm holder..?
From the pics, it looks like you may have accidentally switched them...?
